  • New Mexico Collection Agency Regulatory Act: The New Mexico Collection Agency Regulatory Act (NMSA 1978, Section 61-18A-1 et seq.) regulates debt collection agencies and protects consumers from abusive debt collection practices.
  • New Mexico Do Not Call Registry: While New Mexico doesn’t have its own Do Not Call list, residents can register their phone numbers with the National Do Not Call Registry (https://www.donotcall.gov) to reduce unwanted telemarketing calls.

How to Make a Report:

To report robocall violations, telemarketing scams, debt collection abuses, or other consumer-related complaints in New Mexico, contact the New Mexico Office of the Attorney General at 1-800-678-1508 during business hours, or email consumer.protection@nmag.gov.

To register for the National Do Not Call Registry or file complaints against telemarketers, visit https://www.donotcall.gov. Please note that the hours of operation and contact information are subject to change, so it’s a good idea to verify the details on the respective websites before reaching out to the agencies.
